Central Baptist Hospital is the first Lexington hospital to develop an iPhone App.

Central Baptist Hospital is the first hospital in Lexington to develop an iPhone app. The free app may be downloaded by going to the hospital’s Web site, centralbap.com and clicking on Social Media & Apps in the left navigation menu. Apps are also being developed for the Android and the iPad.

The apps help users to access the medical library containing articles covering diseases, procedures and health tips. First aid information, providing guidance for everything from animal bites to heatstroke is also available. The app, PhysicianLink, allows users to look up a physician, locate the office and call to ask a question or make an appointment. There are health trackers for monitoring weight, blood pressure and blood glucose, with more trackers coming soon.
