Bluegrass Family Health goes green

Beginning in June 2007, Bluegrass Family Health initiated a company-wide recycling program called Bluegrass Goes Green.  Bluegrass began participating with the City of Lexington’s recycling efforts to reduce the amount of paper, plastic, aluminum, and other recyclables that enter the landfill, and to conserve valuable natural resources.

On March 18, 2011, Bluegrass accepted a plaque from their recycling service, Cintas©, which states that in the year 2010, Bluegrass saved: 204 trees, 24 barrels of oil, 84,000 gallons of water and 36 cubic yards of land fill.  Bluegrass is continuing its efforts, and is challenging all employees to make a difference in 2011, with hopes to report an even greater positive environmental impact in 2012.

Green makes us all feel better!
