Baptist Regional Medical Center opens new Emergency Department II.

Baptist Regional Medical Center is now able to treat more patients with the opening of the Emergency Department II. The new department consists of two sections: emergency and observation.

The emergency section has seven rooms intended for low acuity patients but the rooms are equipped to treat critical care cases as needed. The observation section has five rooms where patients can stay up to 24 hours prior to being admitted. Additionally, there is a laboratory within the department which will decrease the length of time for lab results.
