Baptist Hospital Northeast is Oldham EMS substation

    The Oldham County Emergency Medical Service (EMS) is using Baptist Hospital Northeast as a substation, parking an ambulance next to the Emergency Department and using office space inside to better provide coverage to the citizens of the La Grange and Ballardsville area.

    Having a base at Baptist Northeast helps ensure a quicker response time to patients living in those areas and allows the EMS more flexibility. Future plans could include constructing an EMS building on the hospital campus and leasing the land to the EMS.
