Baptist Hospital East expands its reach into the Jeffersontown area.

Baptist Hospital East is providing greater access to its services in an area that ranks among the highest for admissions to the hospital. Baptist recently purchased the Jeffersontown Medical Center at 10216 Taylorsville Rd. and has renamed it Baptist Jeffersontown. Along with the 31,850-square-foot facility, several of the existing services will transition to Baptist-affiliated entities.

Jeffersontown Family Practice, which joined Baptist Medical Associates (BMA), includes five primary care physicians, a physician assistant and a team of support staff, all of whom will transition to the Baptist-employed practice. In addition to Baptist Medical Associates physicians, several specialists use a time-share suite within the facility. Baptist Jeffersontown also offers Baptist Urgent Care for minor illnesses and injuries, and Baptist Physical Therapy services, including sports medicine and orthopedics.
