Baptist Healthcare System announces leadership changes.

In preparation for some of the most wide-reaching changes in healthcare this country has ever seen, Baptist Healthcare System announced in December 2010 leadership changes. Susan Stout Tamme, Baptist Hospital East President, assumes a new role as President of the Louisville Market for Baptist Healthcare System effective February 1, 2011. David Gray, Hardin Memorial Hospital President, succeeds Sue as President of Baptist Hospital East. His position at Hardin Memorial is filled by Dennis Johnson, Baptist Hospital Northeast Administrator. Chris Roty, Baptist East Vice President serves as President of Baptist Hospital Northeast while continuing his duties as a Vice President at Baptist East.

In her new role, Sue will spearhead the creation of an Accountable Care Organization (ACO), one of the key components of healthcare reform. An ACO is designed to manage patients across a continuum of care including inpatient, outpatient and post-acute care while enhancing efficiency and effectiveness through cost management and improved outcomes.
